Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists (OTs) help you live your life more independently after an injury or illness.

Activities of Daily Living

OT's specialize in maximizing your independence. We can assess your ability to perform the activiites of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, or meal preparation.  If doing routine things around the house or at work have become harder, occupational therapy can help.

Hand Clinic                  OT hand brace

OTs specialize in the treatment of hand injuries.  We provide the most current treatment techniques for overuse, fractures, surgeries, and nerve and tendon injuries.  We custom-design splints to support affected joints, decrease pain, and increase hand function.

Home Safety Education

OTs complete comprehensive home assessments to provide recommendations for a safe and independent living environment.  An OT can assess and make recommendations to your home, especially the bathroom, to make your home safer and more accessible.

Stroke Rehab/SaeboFlex

OTs provide rehab for patients with neurological impairments, such as stroke, through specialized activities to increase strength and coordination of the affected upper extremity.  We are specailly trained in the use of the SaeboFlex, and innovative orthotic that assists individuals to open their hand.

Graston Technique

OTs can decrease your nagging upper extremity, neck, and head pain related to overuse, tendonities, and poor posture with the Graston Technique, a set of specialized tools developed to effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue.

Craniosacral Therapy

OTs provide hands-on, gentle, noninvasive treatment to decrease symptoms associated with fibromyalgia, migraines, low back pain, and other chronic pain issues.

PreDriving Skills Assessment

OT's assess and provide recommendations for driving safety through comprehensive assessment of range of motion, vision, and cognition.  Our goal is to keep you safe behind the wheel.

I want to send my highest appreciation to the beyond wonderful nurse who did bloodwork on me this morning. I have never had a positive blood drawing experience in my life, but this woman was truly amazing. I hope to see her again and definitely hope she is at FCMC for years to come. Her professionalism, patience, confidence, and attitude make her stand out from so many. -Kristin H
